Oregon Public Retirees Litigation Fund

Oregon Public Retirees Litigation Fund (OPRLF) is a non profit corporation created to fund the legal bills and other costs associated with the various lawsuits involving PERS or changes made by either PERS or the Legislature. Vern Fisher is the President. Also serving are Kathleen Beaufait and Bill Hughes.

Now that we have become members of the PERS Coalition, our role in current and future legal actions will continue to be funded by member contributions to OPRLF. Our share of legal fees will be based on our membership in proportion to the membership of all organizations in the Coalition.

There still are unresolved legal issues surrounding treatment of “window” retirees and undoubtedly other legal issues will surface that will require legal advice and representation to be funded from our Litigation Fund.
