OPRI OFFICE STAFFED FULL-TIME -- The OPRI office in Salem is staffed full-time and communications to that office are answered promptly by e-mail, telephone or US mail. Response usually occurs within two or three days of receipt and that delay, such as it is, is often caused by the need to find an answer to an inquiry.

Inquiries range from cases involving specific interactions between PERS and the inquirer to discussion of the state of litigation still in progress to anticipated 2009 legislation to sheer venting of frustrations with “the system.”

OPRI sometimes provides responses via our web site when the same or similar questions are being posed, but this is not done without first responding to the inquirer who may or may not be a member of OPRI.

Members are encouraged to continue to direct inquiries to OPRI for two reasons: first, we want to help if we can; and second, member inquiries help us keep informed of problems and issues that may be developing.
